I have end stage renal failure, (just come back from hospital today, with some depressing news-so please forgive me if this sounds all doom and gloom!) My step Dad is hoping to be a live donor for me in the new year, after 6 months of tests, all confirmed that he is fit enough to go ahead. My local radio station has contacted me to give a interview on my story, which is really fab - just to highlight the whole issue how important the Organ Donor Register is.

So if anyone has been thinking about joining and haven't got round to doing so, please see the link below and click on the Join the Organ Donor Register it is an important step and means one day you may be able to save lives

You often read and hear stories about people waiting for transplant, but its not until it happen's to you, you really do realise how important this is.

Many thanks - Mel

http://www.uktransplant.org.uk
