This Forum looks to be going nowhere. Unfortunately the Koimag forum appears the most active if at times the most basic but it obviously appeals. Are there too many forums now?

its good stuff i have noticed the growth on my koi since we put them on it the fish love it

little finley my baby sanke has grown loads since going on hikari she was 3 inch when i bought her and when i put her in the bigger tank 4months back with dyson she 5in and hadnt grown much maybe grown to 6in at most she is 7 -8 in now and been on hikari wheatgerm for around 8 weeks

she is catching dyson fast

i am keeping them on hikari wheatgerm all year round got to

the pond is spot less the tank is spotless what more can i say

Hi Guys

Just to let you know this month we are going to run a competition I want every one taking part to add a picture of there best koi and the best one will win a 5kg bag of hikari whaetgerm. I am also looking for one person to judge with me a different judge every month the judge will also receive a free bag of hikari wheatgerm to make it fair all judge requests will be entered into a hat and pulled monthly.

comps will vary monthly such a koi of month, pond of month, caption of month with pic.

should i turn off my 60l helia air pump and put on my koi air 25l for the winter

i am not turn the air off completely as i have the air stones in the filter and the koi seem much happier with it on.

last year i turned it off for 3 weeks had to turn it back on they didnt do to well with it off

hello my name is paul i have just started my second pond it will be 18 by 10 by 4 ft deep it is a night mare at the moment but i wiil win in the end got to do the base tomorrow put the botten drain in im hopeing to slope round the drain i am going to use hydra fillters could any one tell me if they are any good is one useing them on there pond please

Now i know a lot of you will know hes 99 n still living on his own :);)

so i go up to see him n he says can you go up town n get my some money out for me while your in town yes dad give us your card n pin number n off i go wots easier than that :D

the first hole in the wall everybody want to be in front of me :w00t: so i tramp down to the next one out of order GREAT :angry: so down to the next one , in goes the card punch the number in up it flashes card out of date n its gone :w00t::angry: i can tell you i wasnt pleased

so i ring him up n bellow down the phone n told him wot happened n had he got another card , yes he says i did wonder why i wanted it :angry: i reckon if i could have got my hand down the phone id have strangled him :angry::):):):)

so i go back n he says how much did u get out arghhhh so i had to go all through it again with him :w00t: well that was wasted on him all he said was can you go back n take this one , i wont repeat where i said he could stick his card :):):):):):):):)

then he chipes back n says well youl be old one day :( :D

TRAFFIC

i see now when u go out the traffic is building up due to xmas :angry: i think all them that live out of town should pay to come in :D:):):):):)

another 2 wks n the car parks will be full n that stops the traffic on the round abouts as the dipsticks wait for a spot to come up in the multi storage carparks why the police dont move em on is beyond me :w00t:

isnt it funny how when ever your in a hurry u get stuck behind some old goat that cant get out of 1st gear :w00t: n no matter how close u get he wont go any quicker :angry:

u cant get past em cus the traffic is too heavy n the more you clock watch the faster it seems to tick by :angry:

its just the same when u go in a shop now take yesterday it wasnt pension day :) so i thought id be safe to pop down to the post office n get some cash out ;)

i saw an old man hobbling over to the door n i wasnt quick enough getting out of the car to get in front of him :) so by the time i got in he was already at the counter :angry: well youd think hed got all the time in the world :w00t: he was only buying a few stamps , well he went on n on about nothing really ( reminded me of tam n andy i bet there like him :D )

anyway just as i thought the old duffer had finished he then asked about his balance on his card :w00t: so she told him n then he asked for another balance on another card but couldnt remember the bloody number :angry::angry: then he went into great detail how he went up the bank n took the wrong card in the bank n on on he went :angry: i felt like saying for gods sake man stop talking n get on with it

he then said ooh il have a nice christmas when he heard his balance i felt like saying christmas is long gone mate you took that much time there you n i both missed it :angry::hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:

Hi all

when/what time of year would you start a new pond build?

Will my fish be okay in a large paddling pool while the new build is going on i have heard that some kinds of plastic harms fish is this true and how can i tell what to use?

How would you go on with a new pond build deeper or a greater surface area? what are the benefits to each?

I have posted some pics of my current pond on another thread (new member) its approx 12ft long 5ft wide at widest part and 4 in the least,3ft deep ( i didn't build it)

I am unsure how much the budget will allow depends on how the new business picks up and on how much my wonderful fiance will allow( she does not share the hobby she likes shoes)

just though i would ask some expert advice

Also how much do you think your idea would cost and would you get a builder to do blockwork?

on other forums you can do this by scrolling down to the bottom n this then brings up the posts wot others have written :P

the boddington forum is good for this n so is richdon koi its a shame koimag cant do it either

its cold today but sunny ;) just hope its warmer where g lives hope u got the heating on mate ;):D:D:D:D

went round my nieces new house well a say new it an old place nice hse in the country ;) but she has big wooden windows that dont shut properly leaded lights bloody draughty :P

so im sitting on the settee in front of the window n the cold air is playing havoc round my neck in the end i had to tell her to close the curtains :P

shes just spent over £15000 having the garden lanscaped i said to her b4 it was done have new windows instead ;) but she said they would spoil the character of the hse id sooner have a warm hse than a lanscapped gared n high gas bills :w00t:

ahh good job we are all different ;)

LOL, well my pond heating is now fully functional and the fish love the warmer water :cool:

15c now and another 1c increase to make tommorow ;)

those stainless heat exchangers are fantastic.

yer man next door has block paving so they blow straight onto my gravel drive its a right nightmare picking them up

n because i have connifers at the front they all gather round them its a helicopter tree u know the sort i mean :P now i have them everywhere n for the next few weeks il have to pull them out of the gravel cus the reseed arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :D

while out shopping for peoples xmas presents today ;) i met an old mate now hes a good lad but while i was talking to him , i was aware that he was spraying me in spit :w00t: i moved back a bit ;)

but he moved closer the more he gabbled on , the more i got wet i know its probaly funny to u lot but when i got it on my lip it made me feel bad so in the end i said i must go mate times pressing on

i dived into the nearest toilet n washed my face in the basin :P , the trouble is you could do with wiping it , but then u dont want to embarrass the poor bloke that hes gobbing all over you , i should have remembered last time he was like that

i must remember next time to try n avoid him :P;)
