thanks for the reply all seems ok now, i added some evolution aqua blanket weed stuff just as a precaution.

I use clays all the time and have never heard any one raise a subject on this it could be a number of things this year is the first year I have suffered. May be that your nitrats are a little higher than normal.

I use Kusuri eco pure as a maintainence and it is very good.

Do mineral clays have any effect on blanket weed or algae,only i tried some, only to develop fine blanket weed strands .
