ROLE: Senior .NET Software Engineer

ANNUAL SALARY: £30k - £36k (Negotiable)

OMNIX is a growing specialist software development company based near the NEC in Birmingham. We specialise in the design and development of software for the insurance and financial services industries and within a short period we have established a reputation for innovation, reliability and excellence within our chosen niche.

We are looking for someone special to join our friendly team, someone who shares our can-do approach and who is excited by the prospect of being able to make a difference to the business.

The person we are looking for will probably have:

• A minimum 10 years’ experience in all aspects of software development.
• A minimum 6 years’ experience in Microsoft Development Suites: ASP, .NET, .NET Web Services, C#, CSS, XHTML, VB, SQL SERVER.
• Software/system architecture and database design skills are key as well as being comfortable developing software in both traditional and RAD methodologies.
• Experience in developments for both web and desktop platforms.
• You should be comfortable dealing directly with clients, attending client meetings and be keen to engage in all areas of this new and exciting business.
• Our client base extends across the UK and you should therefore be willing to travel if necessary, preferably with a full UK driving licence and own your own car.
• You should be articulate, confident and professional. You will be working in a small team of focussed designers and developers that approach every project, large or small, with the same attention to detail and desire to create software solutions that require little or no support, owing to the quality and stability of the build.

As well as the above experience and skills candidates would benefit from, but are not required to have, knowledge of:-

• Photoshop or Corel Suite
• Javascript
• DHTML
• Web Server configuration (IIS, EMAIL, FTP, DNS)
